This page explains what this website does with information about the people who visit it. It is short because the site does very little.

We do not track you

This site runs no analytics software, no tag manager, no advertising or social media pixels, no session recording, no chat widget and no embedded third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing on these pages reports your visit to anyone else.

The site sets no cookies and does not use local storage. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

All fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from this site's own domain. Loading a page here does not cause your browser to contact any other company.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard web server logs. These typically record the IP address of the requesting device, the time of the request, the page requested, and the browser's user agent string. We use these only to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

We do not receive or retain these logs ourselves. Cloudflare holds them under its own retention policy and we have no separate copy.

The contact form

If you use the form on our contact page, we receive the name, company, email address and message you enter. We use that information to reply to you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.

Messages are delivered to a mailbox operated on Google Workspace. We keep correspondence for as long as the relationship or the matter it concerns is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through this form. It is a general enquiry channel, not a secure one.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and mail providers process this information on our behalf, under contract, in order to deliver their services. Beyond that we disclose personal information only where we are required to by law, or where you have asked us to.

We do not transfer personal information to any affiliated company for that company's own purposes.

Your rights

Canadian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it. Write to us at matt.johnson@shipwreckholdings.ca and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how this site handles information, we will change this page and update the date at the top of it.
